Coverage that captures the feeling of the room, not just a record that the room was full.
Anyone can photograph an event. The difficulty is photographing it so that the people who were not there wish they had been.
I cover private celebrations, corporate events, launches, networking evenings, car shows and everything in between, across the Cotswolds and the surrounding counties. The brief is nearly always the same underneath: prove this was worth attending, and make next year easier to sell.
That means the wide shots of a full room, yes — but mostly it means faces. People mid-conversation, mid-laugh, genuinely absorbed. The detail work that shows somebody cared: the table settings, the signage, the food, the light as the evening turns.
I work quietly and I do not interrupt. Years in hospitality taught me how to move through a room full of people without becoming part of the event, which is exactly what you want from the person holding the camera.
Stills for press and social, a film for next year's marketing, or the two together from one shoot.
A small set delivered while the event is still live or first thing the following morning, so your channels stay current.
Wides that show scale, portraits that show atmosphere, and the details that took someone weeks to arrange.
Clean audio from the desk where available, so talks and speeches are actually usable afterwards.
No flash in people's faces, no directing the room, no becoming the story.
Reels and shorts framed properly on the day rather than cropped badly afterwards.

A preview set the same night or the following morning if you need it for social. The full gallery usually within three to five days.
Yes, and I would prefer to. Send me the schedule beforehand and I will build coverage around the moments that matter — the speech, the reveal, the toast — rather than discovering them as they happen.
Regularly. Cars are their own discipline — reflections, crowds and hard light all fight you at once, and it takes long glass and a polariser to do them justice.
As little as possible. No flash into faces, no rearranging groups for a picture, no standing in front of the person speaking.

Sophie & TomNaming ceremony, the Cotswolds · and their wedding in OxfordWe booked Nick as the photographer for our son’s naming ceremony, which we held in our garden. From the moment he arrived, Nick blended in with our guests so naturally that we hardly knew he was there. Yet he captured such wonderful photographs of everyone, as well as the ceremony itself, without anything ever feeling staged or intrusive.
We were so impressed with Nick’s work that we booked him for our wedding in Oxford the following year. Safe to say, he did not disappoint. We received the most incredible set of wedding photographs, capturing all the special moments, emotions and atmosphere of the day beautifully.
Nick is incredibly talented, professional and unobtrusive, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a truly fantastic photographer.
